B. Lee Snyder graduated from Shepherd University in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science and in 2013 with an MBA.  He is President and Founder of Snyder Environmental Services, a utility construction and maintenance company based in Kearneysville, WV with 100 employees.  Snyder Environmental operates in 6 states and the District of Columbia and does sales of over 35 million dollars per year.  Mr. Snyder is also President and Founder of Jefferson Utilities, Inc., which had provided water service to 3,500 customers in Jefferson County.  In 2023, after growing the company for 26 years, Mr. Snyder sold Jefferson Utilities to the West Virginia American Water Company.  Mr. Snyder is Past President of the Contractors Association of West Virginia, having served as President in 2012.

Mr. Snyder is married to Karen L. Snyder.  Mr. Snyder has served on the Board of Farmers and Mechanics Mutual Insurance Company since March 4, 1994.
