Holly Boggs Receives Agent of the Year Award
The Independent Insurance Agents of West Virginia (IIAWV) recently announced that Holly D. Boggs of Ed DeLong Insurance Marketplace in White Sulphur Springs was presented the “Earle S. Dillard Agent of the Year” award at the association’s annual convention held at The Greenbrier in October.
“The Earle S. Dillard award is presented annually to those association member agents who, throughout their career, have personified the qualities most admired by the profession,” said Jan Vineyard, chief executive officer of the IIAWV. “There is no better choice than Holly Boggs for the Agent of the Year. Holly not only is an agent held in high regard by her peers in West Virginia, but also by the many clients she serves in her community. When the horrible flood hit West Virginia in June, Holly’s home was severely damaged but put her needs aside and jumped in to help her many clients who had suffered great losses. Holly has continued to work tirelessly to assist those in her community affected by this tragedy.”
Holly is the Vice President of Ed DeLong Insurance Marketplace Inc. Holly and her dad, Ed DeLong, opened up their agency in November of 2002, after the agency they previously worked for was sold. She has been an agent since 1995 and has served on the IIAWV Board as Young Agent Chair and as member at large.
Holly has volunteered as a Girl Scout Leader for fourteen years and counting and has received the Volunteer of the Year award, as well as the Leader of the Year award in past years.
Holly enjoys spending time with her husband, Russell, and their two daughters Caitland and Cassidi. She has a jewelry making business, loves to sew and spend time outdoors.
Everyone at Farmer and Mechanics Insurance Companies would like to congratulate Holly on her award.
