Our Story
Local Heritage. Reliable Coverage.
Over 100 years ago, 35 men agreed to become a corporation under the name of "Farmers and Mechanics Mutual Fire Insurance Company of West Virginia." Our first policy was issued on March 5, 1878, making us the oldest Domestic Mutual Fire Insurance Company in the state.
More than a century later, we are still working hard for the people of West Virginia, Virginia, and beyond. Our Staff and Board of Directors continue to uphold our long standing commitment to the communities we serve.
